Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about importing, installing, and servicing Ludyway packaging machinery in Uganda.
1. Do your packaging machines support Uganda’s local power supply?
Yes, all packaging equipment destined for Uganda is custom-engineered to match the national electrical standards: 240V, single-phase, or 415V, three-phase at 50Hz. We also integrate voltage stabilizers to protect the machine’s PLC and sensitive electronics from local grid fluctuations.
2. How are the machines shipped to Uganda and how long does it take?
We ship our machinery in heavy-duty, sea-worthy wooden cases. Typically, shipments are sent via ocean freight to the Port of Mombasa (Kenya) or Port of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), and then transported via transit road corridor to Kampala, Uganda. The total transit time generally ranges from 35 to 45 days.
3. Do you provide installation and training services in Uganda?
Absolutely. We provide complete turnkey service solutions. Our highly experienced engineering team can be dispatched to your factory location in Kampala, Jinja, Mbarara, or other regions in Uganda to handle the physical installation, system calibration, and comprehensive training for your local operators.
4. How do we secure spare parts and maintenance locally?
Ludyway maintains a robust inventory of critical spare parts. We can dispatch urgent replacement components via international express air courier (DHL/FedEx) directly to Uganda within 3 to 5 business days. We also offer online remote diagnostics to troubleshoot PLC/software issues instantly.
